Our FY15 DoD Budget Update is Now Available
Dear DoD Budget Subscribers,
Today we have rolled out our complete FY15 update of the DoD Budget module.
As of today you may search our DoD Budget service for spending contained in the Pentagon's FY15 budget request. There's plenty to search for: on the RDT&E side there are 902 Program Elements, in which the Administration lays out its detailed request for $64.8 billion of spending. And on the Procurement side there are 975 line items and $91.5 billion of spending.
That's just over $156.3 billion of discretionary spending. And yes, that's down from the $170 billion of discretionary spending in FY14 and the $191 billion in FY13. (Let us pause and give thanks that the rate of decrease is at least slowing.) But $156 billion is still a lot of water. And InfoBase's DoD Budget module is still a tool of unequaled power for navigating it.
So use it well. And if you have any questions about how to make the best use of it, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Care representative Bill Burton at (410) 253-9031.
Best regards,

Stuart McCutchan
