Separating the Primes from the Subs
Greetings InfoBase Subscribers,
One of the main attractions of our service is its information on subcontractors.
When it comes to prime contract awards, sure, there are other information sources out there. Some even offer broader coverage than ours (although none, we'd submit, dive as deep).
But when it comes to sub-contractor information, we're the only game in town. People love the subcontractor information. People have even been willing to overlook the fact that you couldn't actually search for awards to a company purely at the subcontractor level.
Starting today, I'm happy to report, their "overlooking" days are over.
At some trouble and expense we've retroactively revisited every award in our Contracts database since the dawn of the new millenium (don't let anyone tell you it was on Jan. 1, 2001... we all know it came a year earlier).
On the nearly 3,000 awards which featured information on multiple contractors, we took the time to separate out the primes from the subs.
And now we're providing the fruits of those efforts to you, dear subscribers, on the Contracts search screen. And showing who's who on the Contracts detail screen as well.
We hope you like it. And we're looking forward to rolling out some more good stuff for you fans of our Contracts module in the year ahead.
Best regards,
