Our FY12 DoD Budget Update is Now Available
Dear DoD Budget Subscribers,
For those of you who have been patiently (or impatiently) awaiting the rollout of the information contained in the FY12 DoD Budget request, I have good news: today is the day.
As of today you may search our DoD Budget service for spending contained in the Pentagon's FY12 budget request. There's plenty to search for: on the RDT&E side there are 915 Program Elements, in which the Administration lays out its detailed request for $76.9 billion of spending. And on the Procurement side there are 1,101 line items and $128.1 billion of spending.
That's just over $205 billion of discretionary spending. Given the state of budget realities in Washington, this budget may represent a high-water mark for the coming decade. But that's still a lot of water. And InfoBase's DoD Budget module is still a tool of unequaled power for navigating it.
So use it well. And if you have any questions about how to make the best use of it, please don't hesitate to contact our trainer Kristiane Kristensen at 703-801-6719.
Best regards,
