::
Hello, SAM. Hello, Prime Contract Award Profiles.
Dear DACIS Subscribers,
It's my pleasure today to announce our move from the venerable Central Contractor Registry (CCR) to the System for Award Management (SAM). This transition helps to keep you in step with what's happening in the U.S. federal government contracting community. You can find our version of SAM in the Companies module of the DACIS service.
But our goal isn't just to keep you in step with what's happening, it's to keep you a step ahead. So today I'm especially delighted to announce the marquee feature of our SAM service: U.S. Government Prime Contract Award Profiles.
These profiles link our SAM reports to the prime contracts awarded to hundreds of thousands of federal government contractors. We deliver to you total spending by fiscal year, going back to FY 2010. And we break out spending by government department, and within those departments, by NAICS code. This breakout was chosen with care and deliberation, because we knew that quantitative NAICS information would directly support your decisions with respect to teaming and competitive assessments.
Included with each Prime Contract Awards Profile is an Export button, making the move to Excel as simple as a single click. Drivers, start your pivot tables!
In announcements like these, we always like to include a few sample reports to get you going (sorry, these will work only for subscribers and evaluators):The data in these reports is from the Federal Procurement Data System. Our work on FPDS is now in high gear. My next report will be FPDS-related.
Best regards,

Stuart McCutchan
