Dear DACIS Subscribers,
Over the years one of the praises we've heard most from our subscribers has been the relative richness of our information on subcontracts. We've worked hard to provide that information, picking it up anywhere we could. Our customers have gratefully accepted what we could provide—and graciously made allowances for what we couldn't.
Of course you've always wanted more. You've wanted to know how much of a contract's value was being passed through by the primes. You've wished you could see who the primes were using to meet small business and minority subcontracting goals. And most of all, at the end of the day, you've wanted to know all the subs on a big defense program, because that's competitive intelligence which points you straight to the technology being employed.
So with Christmas upon us, we're delighted to offer up a major new DACIS capability—more than 100,000 U.S. government subcontracts, fully integrated into the DACIS system. And—'tis the season—free of charge.
Here are all the subcontracts, going back to fiscal year 2009 and right up to the present. Included with each is just about every piece of information you've always wanted, but dared not hope for: Date. Value. Description of work performed. The name of the prime. The government customer. On and on—nearly 60 fields in all.
And since all that data lighting up DACIS in all the right places just wasn't enough, we set up an easy one-click capability for exporting masses of subcontracts straight to a file readable by everyone's favorite spreadsheet application.
To get started, check out these examples of subcontracts integration in DACIS (sorry, these won't work if you're a visitor to our website, but we'd be happy to give you a tour):

• Sitewide Search results, including subcontracts, for "Ground Combat Vehicle"
  
• The 49 subcontractors supporting ASRC Management Services on the Multi-Disciplinary Engineering and Technology Services II (METS II) contract at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
  
• The 59 subcontracts awarded under a single task order (0010) of General Dynamics' $5 billion contract Stryker production contract (W56HZV-13-D-0008). (You'll need to click the Subcontracts tab to view these.)
  
• 82 subcontracts awarded to one of Booz Allen Hamilton's records in the System for Award Management (SAM; formerly known as "CCR")
  
• And, finally, the 3,308 subcontracts awarded by General Dynamics (this may take a little while to load)

About the only capability we're holding back at the moment is a direct search engine for Subcontracts. Look for this as part of our broader Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) service, which we'll be launching in the first quarter of 2014.
