Our Revamped Sitewide Search May Become Your Favorite DACIS Destination
Dear InfoBase Subscribers,
A couple months ago in this space I promised you that you'd be seeing "improved design, new capabilities, faster speed"—and changes that would touch every module in the DACIS pantheon.
Today we're delighted to roll out the first installment on that promise: a stem-to-stern overhaul of our Sitewide Search service.
Sitewide Search allows you to do keyword searches of every DACIS module. It's found on every page of our service, tucked in right underneath the InfoBase logo. It's always allowed you to search every DACIS module (except FedBizOpps, because of speed issues).
Today, I'm happy to report that Sitewide Search does include FedBizOpps—and that speed issues are a thing of the past. Searches that once took 15 seconds or more are now executing with near-instantaneous speed.
But wait, there's more.
The new Sitewide Search is also more capable, with full integration with our ReportGenerator and Profiles services. This makes it a viable alternative to our other modules for those of you who don't really feel like you're working until you're working in Excel.
And finally there's the new look you'll find in Sitewide Search. We think it's cleaner, more graphical, and even more intuitive to use. It's the look that you'll see spreading across the entire DACIS service in the year to come.
Next stop: our Customers module. Work is already well underway.
Best regards,

Stuart McCutchan
